Each year, UCI social sciences picks two outstanding students to represent their graduating
class at commencement as the featured ceremony speakers. Student speakers are selected
from among a competitive pool of applicants during winter quarter following an interview
process in which a sample speech is delivered. The final two students selected then
spend the next two quarters meeting with the school's commencement team to polish
their speeches for delivery at the June ceremonies.
Learn more about our past outstanding speakers, and keep an eye out for the winter quarter call to earn the opportunity to represent your graduating class.
